A Moment Worth Sharing
Recognizing its significance and the buzz it has created across many countries, WedWorld Magazine felt compelled to write an article celebrating this unforgettable occasion, showcasing the love, culture, and joy that resonated throughout every detail of the celebration.

A Vision Beyond Tradition
Ricardo and Emmanuel set out to redefine what a wedding could be. Rather than a traditional ceremony, they envisioned a celebration of love that honored their shared journey and the people who supported them along the way. With a global guest list and deep cultural roots, their goal was to offer an unforgettable experience, one that paid tribute to heritage while embracing inclusivity and joy.

A Historic Setting with Soul
To bring this vision to life, the couple chose the Gran Hotel Ciudad de México, nestled in the heart of Mexico City. More than just a venue, this storied landmark has stood through every era of the country’s evolution, from the Aztec Empire to the present day. It was this historical richness that inspired the evening’s extraordinary six-course menu, with each dish narrating a chapter of Mexican history. Through a blend of cuisine, video projections, live performances, and storytelling, guests were transported through the ages, from ancient Tenochtitlan to contemporary Mexico.

Cabaret Splendor Under Stained Glass
The evening unfolded in the hotel’s grand lobby, beneath one of the world’s largest Tiffany stained-glass domes. Here, Ricardo and Emmanuel created a cabaret-inspired celebration across three stages, where guests were treated to a sweeping musical journey. The program transitioned from Aztec ceremonial dances to operatic arias, classical Mexican compositions, and finally, electrifying performances by Myst musical and Spanish DJ duo Mestiza.

Gilded Glamour: A Dress Code with Meaning
A key element of the celebration was the dress code, carefully chosen to complement the historic ambiance of the venue. The theme, “Gilded Glamour,” was inspired by the 2022 Met Gala and the opulence of America’s Gilded Age (1870–1890), a period mirrored in Mexico’s own era of transformation under President Porfirio Díaz, when the Gran Hotel itself was built.
Guests were invited to dress in the spirit of that opulent era, evoking the golden splendor of late 19th-century Mexico. As they arrived via a red carpet entrance, the atmosphere recalled the grandeur of the building’s early 20th-century heyday, an era of sophistication, innovation, and architectural beauty.

A Global Gathering, A National Tribute
With 400 guests from five continents, the night became more than just a wedding, it was a landmark event. Glamorous, emotional, and artistically rich, the celebration stood as a tribute to Mexico’s heritage, a showcase of cultural pride, and a declaration of love between two remarkable individuals.
In honoring their union, Ricardo and Emmanuel also honored the story of a nation, inviting the world to witness not just their love, but the enduring spirit of Mexico.
