HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PHOTOGRAPHING WEDDINGS, AND HOW DID YOU GET INTO IT?
I’ve always had a passion for photography since childhood. About 15 years ago, I was fortunate enough to turn this passion into a career. I began studying photography to discover my preferred style and attended international workshops to deepen my expertise.
WHAT DO YOU PARTICULARLY LIKE ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHING WEDDINGS?
For me, every wedding is a story to tell. I know that the photos are the only lasting memories that will help the couple remember the start of their family. That’s why I love capturing details, smiles, and expressions in the most natural way possible.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE DAY?
In addition to capturing detailed shots, I love photographing the couple during the shoot that takes place after the ceremony, where they are the sole focus. This is the moment when they truly realize they are husband and wife. They begin to relax, enjoy each other’s company, and experience genuine happiness. I love capturing these moments with natural light and the warm colors of the sunset, allowing the couple to be as free as possible.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE AND APPROACH?
While it’s fashionable to say “reportage” at weddings, it’s not easy because the couple isn’t always used to being photographed. We provide guidance, make suggestions, and have fun with them. I try to balance composed shots with candid moments. I think it’s a perfect mix.
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
I draw inspiration from the environments around me and always speak with the bride and groom to understand their vision. I design a photo shoot tailored to them and take inspiration from international photographers, appreciating their style of composition and post-production. While I learn from others, I always add my own personal touch.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO COUPLES LOOKING FOR A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?
I always tell couples that choosing the right photographer and their style is crucial because the photos will last a lifetime. They should carefully consider who they entrust with their story. Choosing beautiful locations won’t matter if the photographer can’t capture the story well. The photographer is with the bride and groom all day, so being in tune with them is essential.
WHAT TIPS WOULD YOU SHARE WITH COUPLES TO HELP THEIR DAY GO MORE SMOOTHLY?
Choose serious professionals with whom you feel comfortable and who have the style you’re looking for. This ensures you can enjoy the wedding peacefully and happily without worrying about the organization.
IF THERE WAS ONE PLACE IN THE WORLD YOU WOULD LOVE TO CAPTURE A WEDDING, WHERE WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
I’ve fulfilled many dreams, including photographing weddings in New York. There’s no specific place I want to photograph weddings, but my desire is to create well-organized weddings where attention is given to every detail, from the flowers to the location. A perfect wedding is always the result of careful choices.
FINALLY… WHAT’S THE BEST MOMENT YOU’VE HAD AS A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?
In New York, when I took photos of newlyweds with the Brooklyn Bridge skyline, I cried. Seeing those photos in the newspapers and then experiencing it myself was unforgettable.
